Sunrise Wonders Terms and Conditions
Last updated 15 September 2026
These Terms and Conditions apply to online one-to-one Mandarin lessons, trial lessons, learning plans, digital materials and related educational services provided by Sunrise Wonders Pty Ltd. By booking, paying for or allowing a student to attend a service, the parent or legal guardian confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions and the Sunrise Wonders Privacy Policy.
1. Service Provider and Eligibility
Services are provided by Sunrise Wonders Pty Ltd. Contact: hello@sunrisewonders.com. Bookings, enrolments, payments and material decisions must be made by a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over who is authorised to act for the student and who provides accurate, current information.
2. Services
We provide child-centred online Mandarin learning services. Lesson content, sequence, activities and materials may be adjusted for the student’s age, level, learning needs, selected plan and the teacher’s professional judgement. Examples shown on the website or in marketing illustrate possible learning experiences only.
3. Trial Lessons
A 30-minute private trial lesson is free of charge. No payment is required to reserve it, and a free trial does not create a course-fee credit.
One free trial is available per child. A parent may book separately for different children. Please provide accurate details and verify your email to confirm the booking. A trial does not guarantee a particular teacher, ongoing time slot or future program place.
You can cancel a future free trial using the private cancellation link in your confirmation email. Cancellation before the lesson starts releases the reserved time and allows a new booking, subject to availability. To request rescheduling, contact hello@sunrisewonders.com, preferably at least 24 hours before the lesson. A completed or missed trial counts as the child’s free trial; please contact us about exceptional circumstances.
4. Twelve-Week Enrolment and Payment
Unless stated otherwise, a standard enrolment runs for 12 weeks. The selected plan, number and duration of lessons, weekly frequency, commencement date, regular time, price and currency are those shown at checkout and in the enrolment confirmation. It is a one-time purchase, not an automatically renewing subscription.
Program fees are payable in full at enrolment unless we agree otherwise in writing. Payments are processed by Stripe or another provider selected by us. We do not store complete card numbers or CVCs. If payment fails, is reversed, charged back or unpaid, we may pause scheduling or services until resolved.
5. Scheduling, Attendance and Changes
Lessons are normally held at the confirmed regular time. The student must join on time with a suitable device, stable internet connection and a safe learning environment. Late arrival does not automatically extend a lesson. A lesson missed without prior notice is generally treated as used.
To cancel or reschedule, notify us through an approved channel at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time. A lesson cancelled with adequate notice may be rescheduled once, subject to teacher availability. Requests made with less than 24 hours’ notice are generally treated as a used lesson. We may consider genuine illness or emergencies in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances.
We may cancel, reschedule, shorten or adjust a lesson for teacher illness, emergencies, technical failures or other reasonable causes. We will offer an appropriate replacement, credit or refund for services not provided.
6. Online Platforms, Safety and Conduct
Lessons are primarily delivered through VooV Meeting, Tencent Meeting or another approved platform. Parents and students must not share lesson links or access details with unauthorised people. Parents are responsible for suitable supervision, particularly for younger children or students needing device or safety assistance.
All participants must act respectfully. Abusive, harassing, discriminatory, sexually inappropriate, dangerous, illegal or seriously disruptive conduct is not permitted. We may pause or end a lesson for safety concerns or serious misconduct.
7. Recording, Materials and Intellectual Property
We do not routinely record lessons. Recording, screenshots, photographs or public sharing of a lesson, teacher, screen or participant requires our prior written permission. Promotional use of a child’s image, voice, work or participation requires separate express parental consent.
Lessons, teaching methods and learning materials are owned by Sunrise Wonders or used with permission. The registered student receives a limited personal licence to use supplied materials for learning only. They may not be copied, sold, distributed, uploaded, used commercially or used to train an artificial-intelligence system without written permission.
8. Refunds, Consumer Rights and Liability
After a program starts, refunds are generally not provided for change of mind, personal scheduling issues, relocation, travel or loss of interest. Exceptional hardship may be considered case by case. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights, guarantees or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sunrise Wonders is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from student-side devices, internet or power issues, third-party platforms, unauthorised sharing of access details or failure to follow setup instructions.
9. Privacy and Third Parties
We handle parent and child information under the Sunrise Wonders Privacy Policy. To provide services, we may use Stripe, VooV Meeting, Tencent Meeting, email services, hosting, cloud storage and other providers, which may operate outside Australia.
10. Changes, Complaints and Governing Law
We may update these Terms for changes in law, platforms, technology or operations. Material changes will be notified by website, email or another reasonable method and will not retrospectively remove rights attached to services already purchased unless permitted by law.
For concerns or complaints, email hello@sunrisewonders.com with the parent’s name, student’s name, relevant lesson date and a description of the issue. These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
